Delete Pages from PDF — Remove Unwanted Pages Without Uploading
Delete unwanted pages from a PDF and export the rest — drag to reorder first if needed, all locally with no upload.
PDF Page Remover strips this app's shared page-organizing grid down to one job: load a document, click the trash icon on every page you don't want, and export what's left. There's no separate select-pages-to-delete dialog — every page lands in the grid as its own thumbnail with its own delete control, and the free tier handles documents of up to 300 pages.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Load the PDF; every page appears in the grid with a Page number under its thumbnail.
- Click the trash icon on each page you want gone — they can be scattered anywhere in the document, not just in one run.
- Optionally drag the remaining pages, or use Earlier and Later, to change their order.
- Check the page count in the note under the grid, click Export PDF and download the trimmed file, saved with an -edited suffix.
Deletion is a direct click, not a selection step
Each page thumbnail carries its own trash icon; clicking it removes that exact page from the working list immediately and releases the thumbnail image it no longer needs, rather than marking it for a later batch removal. There's no confirmation dialog, so the page is gone from the export the moment you click — reload the original file if you change your mind.
Fixing order before you delete
The same drag-and-drop reordering this app's Merge and Split tools use is available here too, which matters when the pages you want gone aren't obviously identifiable until you've straightened out a scan that came in out of sequence. You can drag pages into a sensible reading order first, spot the duplicates or blanks more easily, then delete them, all before a single export happens.
One file in, one file out, no batch gate
Removing pages from a document you loaded doesn't count as a batch operation the way loading several separate PDFs into a merge does, so it isn't subject to this app's free-tier limit on how many documents one operation can touch. If you drop in more than one PDF, all of their pages share the grid and export together as a single combined file.
The free-tier ceiling that does apply is 300 pages per source document, checked when you export; Pro removes it.
What happens to bookmarks, links and file size after deleting pages
Exporting builds a brand-new PDF from the pages you kept, and only those pages, plus the fonts and images they use, are copied into it. That usually makes the file smaller, and it also means document-level extras are not carried across: the bookmark outline and links that jump to other pages are not rebuilt for the new file, so check them if your document relies on them.
Everything, from reading the file to writing the trimmed copy, happens in a worker inside your browser tab without an upload.
What this tool leaves for you to check
- It doesn't know which pages are unwanted — blank pages, duplicate scans, or a stray cover sheet all look identical to it, so you're picking every deletion by eye against the thumbnail grid.
- Deleting a page removes it from the exported file's structure entirely; it doesn't redact or black out content on a page you keep, which is a different job handled by PII Redactor.
- There's no undo once you've clicked the trash icon on a page other than reloading the original upload, since the working grid only ever tracks what's currently left, not a history of what you removed.
- Pages are chosen one click at a time; there is no box for typing a range such as 4-9, and no zoomed view beyond the thumbnail.
Questions people ask about PDF Page Remover
- Is there a limit on how many pages I can remove?
- No limit applies to how many pages you delete in one export. The free tier does cap the source document itself at 300 pages, checked when you click Export, and a Pro licence lifts that ceiling for longer files.
- Can I delete pages that aren't next to each other?
- Yes. Every page has its own trash icon, so you can remove page 2, page 9 and page 40 in the same session without touching the pages between them, then export whatever remains as one PDF.
- Will links, bookmarks and page numbers still work after deleting pages?
- Page numbers printed on the pages are part of their content, so they keep their old values and will show gaps. Links to websites travel with their page, but the bookmark outline and links that jump within the document are not rebuilt, so check those in the exported file.
- Does removing pages make the PDF smaller?
- Usually, because only the kept pages and the resources they reference are written to the new file. The drop is not always proportional, since fonts or images shared with kept pages stay; for a bigger reduction, run the result through the PDF Compressor.
- Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?
- Not as it is. A PDF that asks for a password when opened will not load here, and restricted files are not decrypted before export. Unlock the document first with PDF Password Remover, using the password you already have, then remove pages from the unlocked copy.
- Do I need an account to delete PDF pages?
- No account, sign-in or email address is needed. Open the page, load your PDF and export; the free tier covers documents of up to 300 pages, and there is no daily limit on how many files you clean up.
- Can I remove pages from more than one PDF in the same session?
- Yes, but they end up in one output. Dropping several PDFs puts all of their pages into the same grid, and exporting writes them into a single combined document; to keep files separate, trim and export them one at a time.
- Can I undo a page deletion?
- Not from within the tool itself — clicking a page's trash icon removes it from the working list right away with no confirmation step. If you deleted the wrong page, reload the original file to start over rather than looking for an undo button.
- Does removing pages send my document anywhere?
- No. Loading, reordering, deleting, and exporting all happen inside a Web Worker running in your browser tab; the file's bytes are never sent to a server at any point in that process.
